3D scanning allows accurate models to be generated from actual component parts and vehicles. AIC has Metrascan3D and Kreon Skyline scanners. The Metrascan is suited to accurate surface capture and will be used primarily for vehicle sheetmetal and chassis surfacing. The Kreon is mounted to an arm and will be for detailed scans of individual components, for example suspension arms, brackets and connectors.
